Katherine Baltis Levy, O.D. has more than 30 years of experience in optometric care. While leading her own successful private practice for over 25 years, Dr. Baltis Levy earned a reputation for personalized and compassionate care. She currently provides comprehensive eye care at SightMD in East Patchogue, New York, where her clinical focus includes diagnosis and treatment for anterior segment disease, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye management, infections, inflammation, and glaucoma care. Dr. Baltis Levy also has over 25 years of experience in cataract management and perioperative care.

As a Certified Light Adjustment Specialist for Light Adjustable Lenses at VisionLOCK, Dr. Baltis Levy believes that teamwork and communication are critical. “A successful outcome combines surgical excellence with personalized patient care. Listening to what a patient’s lifestyle dictates and matching that with realistic goals and options is imperative. Patient education is key,” she says.

Dr. Baltis Levy earned her B.S. in Psychology from Siena College before earning her Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry (NECO). She has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor with an emphasis on the Therapeutic Management of Ocular Disease at NECO.
